Q. What if I get questions or issues while watching the videos?
a. There are over 200 new participants joining this training each month. You will be part of a very large private user community where you can post your questions and get answers from. Also, your learning enhances significantly when you learn from questions and topics from other members. There is also my Technical Help Desk team which monitors this constantly.

1. Do I need to know the JAVA in-order to use the Selenium? Do I need to know any programming knowledge? Do I need to know QTP or other Automation Tools to Learn Selenium? I am new to Testing. Can I still learn Selenium?
a. I assume that most of you are NEW to Testing and have no experience in writing any code. That way, I ensure that I go through from the very basic level and gradually move to advanced topics.
2. How much of Java and JUnit will be taught in this training?
a. This is NOT Java training. However, I shall teach all that is need to successfully build, design, run and maintain Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven and Hybrid Automation frameworks through Java/JUnit.
3. How about other programming languages like C#, Perl, Python, PHP etc? Should we not learn them?
a. There is a lot to learn initially on Selenium IDE, RC and GRID. We then go into programming through Java. Once you learn a flow with one language it will make things easier to adapt and learn or implement through other languages. You know how things work and what can/cannot be done.
4. What is the most widely using programming knowledge for Selenium?
a. It varies and depends on the organization implementing it.
5. How do I download and install Selenium IDE, Selenium RC, Selenium Server, Selenium GRID, FireBug, Eclipse to write and run Java code etc?
a. I will upload short videos and send documentation with instructions. For example refer to the Selenium IDE Installation video on YouTube.
6. How long is the course?
a. I plan to take around 17 to 20 sessions to complete the training. I will not keep an end date unless we complete our topics.
7. How will our questions get answered?
a. If you are in the live questions, you can use the CHAT or Raise your hand (to speak) any questions through the live classes.
b. If you are practicing and/or watching the recorded sessions and get your questions you can bring that to the next live class.
c. Apart from this I am currently building a very effective discussion community around Selenium where you can post your questions.
8. What documentation, scripts and other materials?
a. This is a growing collection and will be shared with all training members on a regular basis.
9. How can we access videos? How long is the access for? How will the quality of videos be?
a. Videos will be hosted on a secure location for High Quality streaming.
b. You will get access to this folder to watch the HQ videos anytime from anywhere.
c. Each video will be uploaded after the LIVE class gets completed.
d. You will have access to these videos for 1 year. Will help you a lot to practice.
e. These videos cannot be downloaded.
10. Are there any discounts?
a. No. I believe that your effort and time you invest to learn the tool in the right way and right topics is more expensive and critical than the cost.
11. Do you do placements? Will you help in resume preparation?
a. At the moment NO. However, I plan to get into consulting and projects very soon. YES. But this will be very niche, focused on Automation.
12. How are the job opportunities for Selenium? Is it better than QTP? What are the advantages/disadvantages of Selenium and QTP?
a. Excellent. Visit dice or monster or careerbuilder. Both tools have their goods and bads. Having these 2 words on your resume will help your marketing a lot.

13. Specials for the 1st batch?
a. The price will surely go up in later batches.
b. PLUS, you can repeat this course once for free at a later stage.
14. What are the different options for the Training? I am working full-time or cannot attend the ONLINE LIVE class? Can I only watch the recording?
a. Upon request from most participants, I am dividing the course offered into 2 programs: (PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PRICE IS VALID FOR THIS BATCH ONLY).
1. LIVE Classes + Access to recorded sessions of each of these LIVE Classes.
• Every Class will get recorded and hosted. You can access this recording for 1 year . Will help a lot for practicing
• The cost for this option is $400 (USD).
2. Access to recorded sessions of every LIVE Class.
• Like above, only difference being that you cannot join the LIVE class and your registration on GoToTraining will be cancelled.
• The cost for this option is $350 (USD).
• You can pay using the same link and choose RECORDED SESSION ACCESS ONLY.
NOTE:
• You cannot download these videos.
• You will have 1 YEAR access.
• You can watch these videos anytime and repeat as needed.
• They will be hosted on a secure location.
• You can repeat any option for $75, but would strongly suggest practicing for these 100 days and then think about the repeat option.
